Bar-Nel Ranch is owned and operated by three generations of the Allen family: Barney and LaNelle, Randy and Brandon.

Bar-Nel Ranch was established in 1968, but it was not until 1975, that we purchased our first herd of Registered Brahman Cattle. We have two different breeding programs. Our first herd includes Registered American Brahman cattle, and our second herd includes Certified F1 (Brahman and Angus).

We produce about 40 - 50 F1 calves and 40-50 registered Brahman calves every year. We keep our F1 heifers for recipients to be used in our embryo program.

Every family dreams of seeing an animal with their brand being named a champion. In 2001, our dream came true by winning the 2001 International Grand Champion Brahman Bull with BNA 𠇍ouble Take” Manso 229/8, owned jointly with Heritage Cattle Company.

The following year, we exhibited the International Reserve Grand Champion Bull with BNA “The Deacon” Manso 253/0 in 2002. In 2003 we had International Reserve Grand Champion Gray with BNA Dexter Manso 279/1.

After nearly thirty years in the cattle business, we have grown to love both our Brahman cattle and the people involved in the breed. We are located about half way between Houston and Dallas. Visitors are always welcome at our ranch.
